When I am asked what are my reasons in going abroad, I always say that I have many. They often ask me to enumerate some and I do so. Those guys think that I am joking when they hear that one of my reasons aside from the humanitarian and financial chuva is: gusto kong mag-trenchcoat at mag-boots. O diba, it's so superficial? Syemps, you don't get to do that here in the Perlas ng Silangan...you'd look like you're hooked on crack.
That's why I kept my eye on New York, Michigan, and DC. They have the meanest winters, as I was told. But I love to be in NY the most, not because Future USMD is there now but because of the mix of cultures so there is respect...and I get to wear trenchcoats and boots there.
Na-contact ko na yung Nursing Service ng NYU Medical Center before and they are willing to help me process my papers but according to them, I should do something about my working visa. Woo-hoo, hello retrogression! Kung kailan wala nang CGFNS Qualifying exam sa NY State, saka naman lumala ang visa retrogression...and it keeps on getting worse day by day. Peste. Now with all the ruckus brought by the visa retrogression, I'm starting to get totally discouraged to work in the US...even after working here in the Mole of Asia's territory.
That's the reason why I'm not doing anything for my CGFNS and NCLEX thingy even if my dad gave me the money for it. So friends, classmates and countrymen: don't ask me anymore about my NCLEX shiznit because now you know why.
And now, I'm not sure if I'd still love to be in NY.
