Huh?!

The world has so many things to offer. And one of it is the vulnerability of an offended party. Written in this entry is another thing that made my day, aside from the synonym-terminology brouhaha from the previous hours.

My sister Charmaine is well-known by her batch to have a blind-item blog entries. It is usually about what she sees and hate, but there was never an instance of name dropping. And since fame = haters,  a "hate" Multiply site has spawned.

The author of the site has pilfered my sister's guestbook with whatever things. And since I'm an evil bitch, I totally laughed my ass off at some parts. Here are some of my comments.
  • The anonymity - If you're so keen about "A writer believes in the idea. A writer believes in the content of it", you must learn that you also have to own what you write. Since you're so brave enough to create the site, be brave enough to stake a claim on your entries. But anyway, I agree with that.
  • The blog entries are laden with too much quotes - Don't you have your own ideologies to rebut my sister's? It's too bookish that I wish I'm reading an actual book. And seriously, your usage of quotes distorts the meaning of what the quote owner is trying to say.
  • Your arguments are also kinda weak. (e.g. "Isn't it that this world is in chaos due to people who can not accept the fact that they made some mistakes and not knowingly change it.") -- Actually both arguments are weak. To make a point, I'll take you guys as an example. You keep insisting that chaos is caused by failure to accept mistakes. However, she thinks that opposing ideas cause chaos. Both of you are causing chaos in the intarwebz because you guys keep on rebutting the other party. You can't say that only one is correct because balance is achieved because of the existence of opposite forces. There can be no "good" if there's no "bad". Ganun. So from there, you can derive that "failure to coexist" can be considered as the cause of chaos and not merely opposing ideas and failure to accept mistakes.
  • The quotes/definition is incongruous to the idea presented - Example: He/She mentioned limitations to freedom of speech and even used a definition of it. The part of the definition that says, "Limitations to freedom of speech may follow the "harm principle" or the "offense principle" ruins  the idea. You can't say that the blog violated an offense principle or a harm principle because no one in particular  was mentioned in the entry, since we are operating on the premise that there was no name-dropping. Although the uproar is rooted on the blog, it is the readers who placed names on the characters, thereby causing the "victims" harm. Therefore, the blog should not be issued to practice limiting the writer's exercise of freedom of speech based on the definition you are trying to orient the readers with.
  • "Not only do I find the thought of you being mistaken to have Gigantism by a physician, but also I find your principles quite fake." - Is it the grammar and incoherent thought or is it just me? I'm kinda slow right now so enlighten me. And if you're assuming that my sister has gigantism, a piece of advice: Don't assume because when you do, you make an ASS out of U and ME. Kthx.
  • The entire site - Making an entire site to initiate change?! By that, you are giving her free publicity plus your site is also riding on the wave of popularity which looks bad. Just as the free publicity that this entry gives you. LOL. But what the hell, this is just a commentary, not a website. But it kept me amused. Great job. You had me blogging.
And to make this clear, this is not to defend my sister...these are just my comments as a completely objective third party.

Let's play with your quote charade: "Your logic is so pocked with holes, it would embarrass Mike Enriquez's skin."  -- Doni

Everything that irritates us about others can lead us to an understanding of ourselves. -- Carl Jung (1875 - 1961)

Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself. -- Leo Tolstoy (1828 - 1910)

Writing gives you the illusion of control, and then you realize it's just an illusion, that people are going to bring their own stuff into it. -- David Sedaris

The skill of writing is to create a context in which other people can think. -- Edwin Schlossberg

Naguluhan din ako. Ano ba yun, is the person;s thought about your sister having been mistaken to have gigantism is quite fake?! Ewan.

I saw the site and it was funny. It was peppered with quotes and "philosophical" words but I think that the person was just using that to intimidate and insult the other party and to sound self-righteous...not that it's effective.

Kasi my sister has blind-item blogs on her Multiply. Technically, she's bitching about her classmates but she doesn't mention someone in particular. Her classmates are those who conclude kung sino iyong mga nandun. So natural may mga na-offend. Prolly the person who was making the "philisophical" viewpoints belongs to the offended party. And medyo di ko rin na-gets ang purpose niya kung bakit niya ginagawa yun. I'm not sure between if he/she wanted to make my sister feel kung paano ang pakiramdam ng may nega comments sa isang artice or if that person wants to halt the chikatime blogs.

Sheesh. Well, Cha wouldn't write about anyone anyway if they weren't doing anything juicy enough for a blind item. I guess the attention seekers there are those perpetuating the actions and not the one who writes about it. Besides, sigurado namang she didn't ask for the popularity. They were the ones who read and perhaps advertised it. LOL

Btw, naloka naman ako sa hate site. Free advertising nga, tama ka. Haha. :P

Fight fire with fire. NO! The site is full of haterade and

KC Cervales said...

Yep. Dati kasi di yan pinapansin tapos nung kumalat yan, saka lang naging popular. So in a way, readers ang may pakana ngkasikatan nito. LOL.

KC Cervales said...

Yep she is. So read her blogs na lang to see why she's hated.
I know. However, we are lame enough not to blog about them noh? Haha!

KC Cervales said...

Funky. I love it.

Marcus Dizon said...

Sabi ko na nga ba, ikaw ang may pakana nito. Haha!

Ditto.

And I saw the site. Natawa ako. I think it's full of blab but there's no substance. Like my brother says, "mababaw ang katwiran". Kaya ayan, tinira mo.

P.S. Hindi ako slow pero talagang hindi ko rin na-gets ang tungkol sa gigantism.

KC Cervales said...

Ako pa...nauna lang sha mag-bog tungkol sa entries ng kapatid ko. Kaya nakigaya lang ako, yun nga lang pati sha, dinali ko. Kthx.

KC Cervales said...

Not to mention, the thoughts are totally incoherent.

I thought I was too high at the smell of Cidex that's why I cannot understand the gigantism thing. LOL. Yun pala, I wasn't the only one who got confused. Aaaaand your P.S. goes for the motherheffing WIN.
